About the Opportunity:

What We’re Looking For:
TEACHER:
- Effectively lead and monitor all aspects of a full-day classroom for an assigned group of infants and toddlers, ensuring that children have continuous supervision.
- Responsible for care of assigned class of children.
- Supervise assigned Assistant Teacher and Classroom Aide.
- Conduct regular reflective supervision sessions to support staff development and address challenges.
- Perform thorough evaluations of staff performance, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
- Proactively address performance issues, implementing corrective action plans as needed to meet standards.
- Create developmentally appropriate nurturing environments and routines in collaboration with site staff.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate daily classroom activities that are developmentally appropriate, follow the agency’s curriculum, respond to individual goals, reflect diversity, and meet Head Start standards.
- Ensure a safe, developmentally suitable learning environment meeting all standards and regulations.
- Maintain child observation notes for individualization and assessment.
- Conduct assessments, make referrals, participate in goal planning, and attend follow-up meetings, including developmental screenings, assessments, and IFSP meetings.
- Consult with Education Supervisor and make attendance referrals as needed.
- Maintain CLASS and/or TPITOS scores at or above expected thresholds.
- Collaborate with specialists and parents to ensure children with disabilities receive services.
- Accurately document observations and service activities in electronic databases (TS GOLD, ChildPlus).
- Use reports to monitor teacher expectations and maintain accurate child files and reports.
- Include assistants and volunteers in planning.
- Model positive interactions and guide children effectively.
- Lead planning for monthly family nights and participate actively.
- Achieve and maintain TS GOLD Inter-Rater Reliability for infants/toddlers.
EDUCATION HOME VISITING:
- Partner with parents as primary educators, scheduling and completing required visits and conferences.
- Provide parenting guidance and child development information.
- Assist in setting and achieving educational goals for children.
- Plan and implement goals aligned with classroom curriculum and support parents in this process.
- Communicate classroom curriculum to parents during visits.
- Complete assessments and maintain accurate family and child records.
- Coordinate and participate in parent events and case management meetings.
- Participate in IFSP meetings for children with disabilities.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in early childhood education (ECE) with coursework specific to infants and toddlers, or
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field with relevant coursework, or
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related studies with relevant coursework, or
- Current Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Experience in an early childhood setting or group care program preferred. Knowledge of Head Start is a plus.

- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle or alternative transportation.
- Compliance with Oregon Criminal Background Registry.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
