Job summary

Child Inc is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher in Austin, TX for a full-time position. The role focuses on promoting development in infants to 3-year-olds within a nurturing classroom and requires active parent involvement for goal setting.

The candidate should have CDA with infant/toddler focus, an associated or bachelor’s degree in ECE (or related with equivalent coursework), and a willingness to travel for training. Benefits include employer-paid health plans and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• CDA with a focus on infant and toddler development required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with infant and toddler development coursework, or degree in a related field with coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood Education with infant and toddler development; preferred.
• Three months of experience working with children aged 0–3 years preferred.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and insured automobile; ability to travel and attend overnight training.
• Must obtain a physical and TB skin test and must pass all criminal history background checks.

Responsibilities

• Promote social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development of each child (infant–3 years) in a safe, supervised environment.
• Involve parents in program activities and establish long- and short-term goals for readiness outcomes.
• Ensure classroom curriculum aligns with research-based, sound child development and early childhood education principles.
