Job summary

Start Early in Waukegan, IL is seeking a Teacher Aide to assist the Lead Teacher in delivering developmentally appropriate education for children birth to five. You will help implement the daily program, support teachers, and ensure documentation and attendance tasks are completed accurately.

Responsibilities include observing children's development, supporting curriculum activities, and partnering with families.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in an early childhood program.
• High School Diploma or GED with 30 college credits including 15 in Child Development (infant/toddler focus).
• CDA certification in Birth-5 for Infant/Toddler development accepted with six months of experience.
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with infant/toddler coursework.

Responsibilities

• Complete program documentation accurately and timely.
• Support lead and assistant teachers in planning and implementing activities.
• Observe and document children's health, behavior, and development.
• Contribute to lesson planning and use assessment data to inform learning opportunities.
• Foster family engagement and partnerships with caregivers.
