Job summary

NeighborImpact’s Early Head Start Teacher Advocate role in Redmond, OR, supports toddlers and families with developmentally appropriate education and family engagement strategies.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, training hours, and strong documentation and communication skills; it offers full benefits and a competitive hourly wage plus bilingual pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with comparable coursework to a CDA credential.
• Diploma/transcripts required to validate credentials and coursework.
• 120 training hours (11 college credits) in social work, human services, family services, counseling or related field within 18 months of hire.
• Teaching Strategies GOLD interrater reliability certificate within 90 days of hire and maintained during employment.
• Flexibility for a variable schedule, including some evenings or weekends.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with staff, families and community members.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support development of toddlers through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Document progress and maintain clear communications with families and staff.
• Plan home visits and conferences; supervise classroom staff and volunteers as needed.
