POSITION OVERVIEW

Early Head Start Teacher

Position Summary

Provide a safe, clean, nurturing environment for children.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate effective classroom leadership, work collaboratively with a team, and complete required records and reports.
  • Individualize curriculum based on each child's strengths and needs.
  • Facilitate screenings and assessments for children.
  • Offer diverse materials and resources for exploration, learning, and imaginative play.
  • Supervise and engage with children during family-style meals and activities.
  • Respect and incorporate families' values, strengths, and cultures into learning experiences.
  • Participate in training focused on curriculum implementation, classroom management, and design.
  • Follow emergency procedures to ensure children's safety.
Education and/or Experience
  • CDA credential or an Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Up to 6 months of experience preferred.
  • Eligible for Workforce Scholarships if employed at Northern Rivers.
