Project Eagle is an early childhood program focused on preparing children, engaging families, and promoting excellence for children and families in Kansas City, Kansas. It provides home-based and center-based services to pregnant women and/or children from birth to five years old, primarily through Early Head Start. Position Summary :
The Early Head Start / Head Start Teacher, in partnership with the Associate Teacher, is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating a comprehensive education program. They ensure classroom activities are developmentally appropriate, meet individual needs, and align with the agency's philosophy and curriculum. They develop and execute individualized lesson plans for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, fostering social, emotional, physical, linguistic, and intellectual development in an age-appropriate manner. The teaching team provides a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment with a focus on early language and social-emotional growth. The Teacher and Associate Teacher must adhere to all program requirements, standards, and funding models.

Additional Experience and Knowledge include working in Head Start programs, understanding of performance standards, team collaboration, experience with inclusion and special needs, curriculum implementation, assessment tools, and research partnerships.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Experience
Anticipated Starting Salary : $23.44 / hr.
Duties and responsibilities include ensuring safety, implementing developmentally appropriate activities, supporting social-emotional development, partnering with families, documenting progress, participating in professional development, and complying with regulations.
