Description

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver has been serving Northern Colorado since 1927. We serve tens of thousands of people each year through various ministries, including Early Childhood Education. We are seeking a dedicated EHS Classroom Assistant to support our mission and provide quality care and education to children.

Purpose of Position
  • Ensure the safety and security of children in the classroom.
  • Develop positive relationships with children’s families.
  • Assist in planning and implementing student activities.
  • Provide classroom coverage and support for teachers.
  • Maintain classroom organization and safety standards.
  • Participate in training and complete coursework for CDA certification within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
  • Ability to interact well with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
  • Must be enrolled in or willing to enroll in CDA coursework, to be completed within 6 months.
Education and Experience

Experience with children in a group setting preferred. Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification is a plus.
