Job summary

West Feliciana Parish Schools is seeking an Early Head Start Aide to support classroom activities for infants and toddlers at the Family Service Center. This entry-level position focuses on safety, routine, diapering, snack service, and helping teachers with daily tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and is willing to pursue CDA credentials while gaining hands-on experience in a developmental program serving very young children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Willing to pursue the Child Development Associate (CDA) for Infant & Toddler Caregivers.
• Experience with infants and toddlers in early childhood programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of policies and standards of the Family Service Center and Head Start.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all children in Early Head Start activities.
• Assist teachers with classroom tasks, diapering, and toileting.
• Serve snacks and assist in meals, ensuring correct portions and temperature.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and assist with inventory at month end.
