Job summary

Bright Horizons in Deerfield, IL is seeking a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious, family-style meals that support children’s health and learning. You will contribute to a warm, predictable routine for children, educators, and staff, preparing everything from soups to plated meals.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service and childcare settings preferred.
• Basic nutrition knowledge is a plus.
• Food handler certification within 30 days of hire required or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, family-style meals and snacks following approved menus and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen following health procedures.
• Manage inventory and place orders with approved vendors to support daily meal service.
