Job summary

Bright Horizons is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support toddlers and young preschoolers in a Morgantown location. The role runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, totaling 40 hours weekly, with opportunities for growth and pursuing a CDA or college degree at no cost.

The position emphasizes hands-on learning, safe classroom management, and strong communication with families, in a collaborative Bright Horizons environment.

Qualifications

• Pass required state and company background checks.
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child’s daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Fulfill mandated reporter requirements as defined by the appropriate State agency, including reporting any suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to the agency and informing the director.
