Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a dedicated childcare professional to support daily care and development activities for children. You will collaborate with the Head Teacher/Manager to implement a well-balanced program, supervise aides, and help with evaluations and parent conferences.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of childcare experience; First Aid & CPR certification within 1 year of hire is expected. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years' experience related to the care and development of children preferred.
• First Aid & CPR Certification required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Designs and integrates stimulation and relaxation in the classroom schedule daily as directed by the Head Teacher/Manager.
• Changes diapers and guides children in toileting, rest times and eating manners daily.
• Assists in meal preparation, distribution and cleanup to meet state regs.
• Provides outdoor or indoor gross motor activities daily to support physical development.
• Replenishes classroom materials and aids curriculum as directed by Head Teacher/Manager.
• Interacts with children as a facilitator during free play to foster social development.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows safety policies per Network requirements.
• Assists in preparing and writing bi-annual child evaluations for parent conferences.
