Dickson County Schools is seeking a TLC Assistant to support a Lead Teacher and Principal in a 10-month, 200-day calendar. The role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supervising young children, and ensuring their safety, health, and educational needs are met in a developmentally appropriate setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21, and possess CPR/First Aid or be able to obtain certification.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Basic knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with staff.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in implementing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide care, including feeding, diapering, and toileting as needed.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured activities.
• Assist with nap time routines and daily transitions.
• Observe and report children's behavior, progress, and concerns to the Lead Teacher.
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support a positive work environment.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of all children in care.
• Actively engage and interact with children throughout the day.
• Follow established schedules, routines, and program guidelines.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to children's needs and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance and incident reports.
