Qualifications

• Paraprofessional certificate or 60 college hours required.
• 2 years of school-based experience preferred.
• ISBE requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with instructional planning and delivery.
• Support students to achieve independence and goals.
• Prepare instructional materials and organize centers.
• Model professional behavior and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with the food program and classroom routines.
• Document communications and assist with record keeping.
• Provide personal care assistance when needed.
