UC San Diego is seeking a Child Development Teacher for its on-site early childhood program. The role involves planning developmentally appropriate activities, supporting caregiver routines, and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment for infants to preschoolers.

Responsibilities include observation and documentation of child progress, collaboration with Lead Teachers, and family partnerships. Licensure and health requirements must be met, with a rotating 8-hour schedule Monday–Friday.

Formación

• Experience with children aged 3 months to 5 years in formal childcare.
• Ability to read, write and speak English to communicate with children and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Lead Teachers and staff to maintain quality and compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities across learning domains.
• Maintain safe, inclusive classroom environments promoting respect and engagement.
• Observe, document, and assess children's development using standard tools.
• Support daily care routines, hygiene, meals, and well-being.
• Collaborate with families through daily communication and conferences.

Educación

Child Development Teacher Permit level credential (or above)

Infant/Toddler coursework (3 college units)

English language proficiency

Strong interpersonal & communication skills
