About Providence Mount St. Vincent

Providence is seeking Full-Time and On-Call Teachers for our Intergenerational Learning Center (ILC). Our program is play-based, social/emotional focused, and internationally recognized for its intergenerational efforts, providing childcare within a skilled nursing facility to foster learning and understanding among all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Care for children in the center, planning and implementing daily activities
  • Plan intergenerational activities and interactions between children and elderly residents
  • Use interactive strategies like active listening and encouraging children’s problem-solving

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Within 30 days: STARs Basic Child Care Certificate or equivalent
  • Registered in Washington STARS Registry
  • Background check through WA State DCYF MERIT system
  • 2 years’ experience with children birth to 5 years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of CDA or 12+ ECE credits
  • Associate’s Degree in ECE or Child Development, or related field with credits
  • Bachelor’s Degree in ECE or related field with credits
