Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in childcare, preschool, or early education setting preferred.
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state childcare licensing requirements.
• Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children.
• Monitor and document child progress, behavior, and milestones.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing and health standards.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and transitions.
