Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking dedicated teachers to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a full-time or part-time capacity. You will create hands-on activities, communicate with parents, and maintain a safe classroom while adhering to state and company requirements.

Opportunities include pursuing a CDA or college degree at no cost. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and college coursework in early childhood education or a related degree.

Qualifications

• Pass required state and Bright Horizons background checks
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• College coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or related degree preferred
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) required

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities meeting children's needs and interests
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones
• Ensure a safe, clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines
• Fulfill mandated reporter requirements and report suspected abuse/neglect to the agency and inform the director
• Provide teaching coverage across centers or nearby locations as needed
