Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA/ECE coursework or degree preferred.
• Experience in early childhood education or licensed childcare.
• Ability to work across multiple classrooms and age groups.
• CPR/First Aid certification current or able to obtain.
• Background check required per state standards.

Responsibilities

• Float between early childhood classrooms to provide coverage and support across all age groups
• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities aligned with development standards
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children
• Assist lead teachers with meals, nap time, and transitions
• Observe and document child development milestones and communicate progress to families
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center health and safety protocols
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff

• Float between early childhood classrooms to provide coverage and support across all age groups

• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children
• Assist lead teachers with daily routines including meals, nap time, and transitions
• Observe and document child development milestones and communicate progress to families
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and center health and safety protocols
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA, ECE coursework, or degree preferred
• Prior experience in early childhood education or a licensed childcare setting
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple classrooms and age groups
• Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate practices
• Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state requirements
• Warm, patient, and team-oriented demeanor with a genuine love for working with children
