Job summary

Bridgewater Community Childcare in Bridgewater, VT, seeks a full- or part-time Teacher or Teacher Associate passionate about early childhood education. You will create and implement age-appropriate activities and coordinate curriculum aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and learning standards.

You will maintain parent communication, foster a welcoming classroom, and ensure hygiene, safety, and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Background in early childhood education and compliant with Vermont licensing rules.
• Experience with age-appropriate curricula and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Ability to communicate with families and document child progress.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities based on standards.
• Communicate with parents through discussions, reports, and conferences.
• Foster a welcoming, safe, and clean classroom environment.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and security in the center.
• Keep accurate records and files; perform classroom opening/closing.
• Collaborate professionally with the Program Director and families.
• Follow all center policies and Vermont regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to team planning.
• Meet Vermont licensing requirements and staff handbooks.
