Job summary

The YMCA of Central New Mexico seeks an Early Childhood Teacher to deliver a quality experience for children and families aligned with our values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. You will implement curriculum, design daily plans, supervise activities, and maintain documentation with regular communication to parents and volunteers.

The role emphasizes ongoing observation of child development, adherence to safety policies, and active participation in family events and staff

Qualifications

• Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law.
• At least 18 years old.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
• Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
• Previous experience with diverse populations.
• Must have 45 hour certificate.
• Attend higher education classes to keep knowledge current.
