Early Childhood Teacher Assistant - Substitute

Join People Incorporated as an Early Childhood Teacher Assistant - Substitute. We are a human service agency serving the Southcoast community, including Greater Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton areas.

Pay Rate $17.75 hourly.

The Early Childhood Education Division is seeking a motivated Preschool Teacher Assistant to assist in planning and implementing program goals for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Essential Functions
  • Perform daily activities such as feeding, diapering, and washing.
  • Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
  • Participate in planning child activities, including preparing materials, equipment, and food.
  • Maintain pertinent records such as daily charts as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge in the field through appropriate educational activities.
  • Perform support duties as requested by the teacher.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled.
  • Maintain all program and agency required training courses.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge obtained through attainment of a high school diploma or equivalent or meeting EEC standards.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with children, clients, and staff.
  • All candidates must have a qualifying criminal background check. A driver’s license is preferred but not required.
