Job summary

Clayton Early Childhood Center is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support three classrooms (Toddler, 1-2, and 4-5) during 10-hour educator days off. The role emphasizes building positive relationships with students and families, and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.

You will supervise, assist with the Creative Curriculum, and help maintain a safe, organized learning environment across multiple age groups in a historic Oak Knoll Park setting.

Qualifications

• Works well with others, good communication, both oral and written.
• Basic computer/technology skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and move safely in classroom environments.
• Must pass background checks and TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Engage in active supervision to ensure the safety of all children
• Care for each child’s needs
• Support the implementation of the Creative Curriculum through developmentally appropriate activities
• Change diapers, encourage self-help, and model appropriate behaviors
• Assist in maintaining room cleanliness and organization
• Able to support all age groups as needed
