Job summary

The Learning Experience Byron Center in Byron Center, MI, is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 2-year-old classroom. You will guide development and implement the LEAP Curriculum to create meaningful learning experiences while supporting language development and social skills.

This full-time role runs Monday through Friday; we offer competitive pay, paid training, and opportunities for advancement in a nurturing, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in daycare/preschool strongly preferred.
• Experience with toddlers or 2-year-olds preferred.
• Lead classroom experience is a plus.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Dependable, energetic, nurturing, and team-oriented.
• Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom for 2-year-olds.

• Create hands-on experiences through art, music, movement, sensory play, and exploration.

• Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance.
• Observe children’s development and maintain required documentation.
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.

Pay: $17-$21 per hour, based on experience and credentials

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 2-year-old classroom.

Two-year-olds are developing language, independence, friendships, and confidence at an incredible pace. We’re looking for an educator who can channel their natural curiosity and energy into meaningful learning experiences while providing the structure and consistency young children need.

What You’ll Do
