Onward Education in Lake County, Illinois is seeking a full-time, in-person Early Childhood Teacher to support an inclusive classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate holds a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an Early Childhood endorsement and has experience in inclusive or co-taught settings.

This on-site role offers 37.5 hours per week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) during the 2026-2027 school year, with collaboration across general education teachers and support staff

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood (EC) endorsement.
• Experience in inclusive and/or co-taught classroom settings.
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction in inclusive/co-taught classrooms where students with and without IEPs learn together.
• Implement accommodations and modifications to promote full access to instruction.
• Collaborate with classroom teams to plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Help create a supportive classroom culture that promotes social interaction and positive behavior.
• Communicate regularly with families and support staff regarding student development.
