Teacher Responsibilities

The Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with children, adults, teacher assistants, and resolving parental concerns.

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Build and maintain relationships with children and families
• Communicate with families, teachers, and support staff
• Meet the needs of children in a caring manner
• Perform light cleaning duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• We are willing to train great candidates in SIDS, Abusive head trauma, and other entry-level requirements for a child care teacher
