Job summary

South Central Human Resource Agency seeks a classroom assistant for Manchester HS EHS in Manchester, TN, reporting to the Center Supervisor. The role supports early childhood education, helps implement curricula, and participates in family-style dining and safety protocols.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; CDA and bilingual abilities are preferred. A physical exam, background check, and valid driver’s license are required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CDA (Child Development Accreditation) preferred.
• Bilingual (Preferred).
• Satisfactory physical examination prior to starting work and every five years thereafter.
• MUST possess a valid Driver's License and Automobile Liability Insurance.
• Satisfactory criminal background check prior to hire and every 5 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing the Creative Curriculum and Head Start outcomes framework to create a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Assist with planning and executing lessons, including goals for individuals and groups and IEP/IFSP objectives.
• Follow licensing regulations, Head Start standards, and agency policies and procedures.
• Maintain health, hygiene, and safety practices daily in the classroom.
• Support family style dining, meal preparation assistance when needed, and community contributions.
