Job summary

ECE Subhub is seeking an Early Childhood Substitute Teacher to support Montessori classrooms for ages 0–5 in Dexter, MI. Work with flexible weekday schedules to fit availability; training and guidance provided.

You will assist with activities, implement lesson plans, supervise children, and foster a warm, professional classroom presence. Montessori background and CPR certification are a plus; certification can be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with children birth to 5; familiarity with early childhood settings.
• At least an associate degree or 18 credits in ECE/Child Development.
• Bachelor's or higher in related field optional; CDA credential preferred.
• Montessori experience and/or certification is a plus.
• CPR certification preferred; certification can be provided.

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher - Montessori

ECE Subhub is hiring Early Childhood Substitute Teachers to support classrooms serving children ages 0 to 5. We work with your availability to build a weekday schedule.

What you will do

You will work alongside early childhood teams to help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with classroom activities and daily routines
• Helping implement lesson plans
• Supervising children to keep them safe
• Building positive relationships with children and staff
• Maintaining a warm and professional classroom presence

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet one or more of the following:

• Experience working with children from birth through age 5
• Associate degree or 18 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Youth or Family Studies, or Elementary Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Family or Youth Studies, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with ZA or ZS endorsement, Human Services, or Child Development
• Current CDA credential

Preferred: Montessori experience and/or certification.

Preferred: CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification. If you are not currently certified, we will provide certification.

Job Details

• Job Type: Part-time to full-time
• Pay: $15 to $22 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm
• Minimum availability: At least two weekdays per week
