Westside Waldorf School has substitution opportunities for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher at our O’Neill campus. The substitute teachers work in collaboration with our team to facilitate an exceptional Waldorf Early Childhood experience for the students. They support daily preparations, the organization and tidiness of the indoor and outdoor learning spaces, and other day‑to‑day responsibilities that support the school environment. They also engage with students and help manage and supervise them in accordance with the principles of Waldorf Education, under the guidance of our Early Childhood administrator.
Westside Waldorf School's thriving Early Childhood program includes two kindergarten classes, two nursery classes, and a Parent/Child program, all located at the O’Neill campus in Santa Monica, California. The school also has a full Grades 1-8 program at a separate Santa Monica location. Our kindergartens are mixed-age, with 4- to 6-year-olds, and class sizes are 15 to 17 children, while our Nurseries range from 2.6 to 4.5 years old, with up to 12 children in each class.
$23 - $30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
7:45 am – 2:45 pm with 30-minute lunch
The opportunity could be limited to one day or extend for several days, depending on program needs.
