Summary

Provide education and support to adults that influence the lives of children within a designated age group, primarily targeting parents and childcare providers funded through childcare services.

Job Description
  1. Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with job-related contacts.
  2. Assist in the coordination and implementation of grant projects, service agreements, and contracts to ensure success in the community and at medical centers.
  3. Conduct presentations and educational consultations.
  4. Coordinate specific course logistics and objectives related to child development and safety.
  5. Maintain quality improvement processes aligned with state regulation requirements.
  6. Specialize in designated topics and age groups, focusing on child development and safety.
  7. Apply knowledge of age-related protocols concerning developmental, health, and safety needs of children.
  8. Work with diverse populations and assess family and individual needs through observation skills.
  9. Monitor compliance within programs to ensure federal reporting, quality improvements, data collection, and regulatory adherence.
  10. Work hours vary; some evenings and weekends may be required.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in early childhood education, child development, or family relations. Equivalent work experience (six years) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  2. At least one year of experience working with adults on the development, health, and safety needs of children.
  3. Certification/licensure as required by the profession and program.
  4. May require a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, depending on departmental needs.
