Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our early childhood learning unit. You will develop and implement IEPs for students, collaborate with staff, and create engaging lessons in a supportive school environment.

The role includes planning time, family outreach, reporting progress, and working with on-site therapists to address behavior and disciplinary issues. A TX EC-6/STR certificate and Special Education credential are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• TX EC-6 licensure and STR required.
• Special Education Certificate per TX DoE requirements.

Aufgaben

• Create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Communicate progress and challenges to staff and families.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and obtain administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student growth.
• Invite family members to participate in each student's progress.
• Distribute quarterly progress reports.
• Coordinate with on-site therapists on disciplinary and behavioral issues.
• Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment.
