RSU 26 is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher/Coordinator to lead its new program for 3 and 4-year-olds with disabilities. The successful candidate will manage evaluations, compliance with regulations, and support the delivery of educational services to foster a positive learning environment.
Early Childhood Special Education Teacher/Coordinator
RSU 26 is looking for a full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher/Coordinator with Maine State Certification as a Teacher of Exceptional Students (282B) to help launch our early childhood (3 & 4 Year Old) special education program. This position will be responsible for the evaluation, as well as coordination, and delivery of services for identified students. Experience working with children who have emotional, learning, developmental, and behavioral challenges is desired. Some summer work time is required for this position.
Candidates will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations in our commitment to Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to students ages 3 to 4 years old with disabilities in being educated within their Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
