Job summary

Children of America is seeking a School Director (Early Childhood) to lead a dynamic team and oversee daily school operations. You will drive educational quality, foster family relationships, and ensure compliance with state licensing requirements.

As a leader, you will mentor educators, collaborate with COA's regional leadership, and shape a welcoming, developmentally appropriate environment for children from 6 weeks through 12 years.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA, as applicable to state requirements.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and industry-specific technology.
• Must meet all applicable state licensing and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and retain a talented team of educators and staff.
• Develop a positive, collaborative, and accountable school culture.
• Provide coaching and feedback to help employees succeed.
• Ensure daily school operations and licensing compliance.
• Monitor staffing, safety, and performance; partner with leadership.
• Promote high-quality care and developmentally appropriate classrooms.
• Build relationships with current and prospective families; support enrollment growth.
