Job summary

Building Blocks Learning Center seeks a Program Supervisor to lead the daily educational program, supervise teachers, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment across classrooms. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes staff development, curriculum implementation, and adherence to high standards.

The ideal candidate will drive educational quality, manage staffing and ratios, monitor compliance with PA licensing, and collaborate with the Managing Director to achieve school-wide goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of professional experience working with children in a licensed early childhood setting.
• Two years of management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, coaching, or supervising classroom staff.
• Working knowledge of Pennsylvania child care licensing regulations, classroom ratios, and supervision requirements.
• Understanding of early childhood curriculum, child development, and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Ability to address employee performance concerns professionally and maintain accountability.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PA child care clearances, certifications, and training.
• Ability to work on-site during assigned operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and execution of the educational program across classrooms.
• Ensure classrooms are staffed, organized, and operating according to schedules.
• Monitor daily attendance, enrollment, and teacher-to-child ratios.
• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and feedback to teachers.
• Support curriculum implementation, assessment, and developmental progress.
• Maintain safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality educational standards.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director on staffing, scheduling, and program goals.
• Foster positive relationships with families and promote a professional school culture.
