Job summary

St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Manhattan is seeking an Early Childhood Program Director to lead the 3K/PreK program for the 2026-2027 year. You will work with the principal and Archdiocese colleagues to ensure program quality, compliance, and inclusive instruction for diverse families.

The role emphasizes coaching staff, implementing the Creative Curriculum, and partnering with families to extend learning at home. Strong leadership and Spanish language skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Education in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education or a related field (required)
• Current New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood or Childhood Teaching (required)
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a teacher or school leader with classroom experience, including 3 years as a lead teacher in an Early Childhood classroom (required)
• Experience working successfully in an inclusive and diverse work environment
• Proficient in technology (social media, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite) and the ability to learn various educational communication platforms
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
• Clearance through NYC PETS and NYS SCS will be required and medical clearance/immunization records and NYC DOH trainings may be needed

Responsibilities

• Set high expectations for school culture, professionalism, and instruction
• Act as liaison with Archdiocese Office of Early Childhood and NYCPS
• Ensure program compliance with NYC PreK/3K policy and procedures
• Ensure high-quality implementation of the Creative Curriculum
• Implement Positive Behavior Guidance per PFKA/3K guidelines
• Train and supervise staff to meet diverse needs
• Conduct daily walk-throughs and provide formative feedback
• Collaborate with principal to evaluate staff performance
• Use data to tailor instruction for all students
• Guide staff in NYC DOH Article 43 compliance
• Manage admin staff and paperwork for PreK/3K
