We currently have openings at our Learning and Wellness Center in Back of the Yards/West Englewood.

Salary: The starting salary ranges from $40,000 to $45,000 annually, based on skill and experience.

Essential Job Functions
  • Participates in team planning and implements program activities, collaborating with staff and partners for classroom and family betterment.
  • Assumes responsibility for the classroom in the lead teacher’s absence.
  • Implements the Planned Language Approach to support dual language learners.
  • Provides active supervision to ensure children's safety during all activities and transitions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution, or
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree outside of ECE with at least 60 college credit hours, including 15 in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or
  • For Head Start funded programs: Child Development Associates credential and a Gateways to Opportunity Level 2 ECE credential while working towards an Associate's Degree.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
