Healthy Kids Programs is hiring an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for our Waterloo, NY program for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role supports children ages 5–12 and works within 6:30 am–6:30 pm hours, with employer-paid childcare benefits.

The candidate will collaborate with a lead supervisor, communicate with families, and foster a caring, structured learning environment following the Creative Curriculum and ECERS/ITERS standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with School-Age Lead to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum.
• Maintain regular communication with parents via the Playground App to keep families informed.
• Foster positive adult-child interactions using CLASS principles to support all children.
• Support health, welfare, and safety by following ECERS/ITERS standards and center protocols.
