Healthy Kids Programs is hiring an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for our Waterloo, NY program for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role supports the School-Age Childcare Lead in delivering hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum and maintaining strong family communication.

The position emphasizes teamwork, relationship-building, and safe, engaging learning experiences. Employer-paid childcare and flexible scheduling align with school hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Health clearance including TB screening per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the School-Age Childcare Lead to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum for children.
• Maintain regular communication with parents via the Playground App to keep families informed about daily experiences.
• Cultivate positive adult-child interactions using the CLASS method to create a supportive learning environment.
• Support the health, welfare, and safety of classroom members by following ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
