Healthy Kids Programs Early Learning Center in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for the 2026–2027 school year. Part-time, non-exempt position with hours from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Pay is $16.00 per hour. Employer-paid childcare and a benefits package are provided; role supports school-age children in a structured, caring environment.

• Maintain regular communication with parents via the Playground App.
• Foster positive adult-child interactions using the CLASS method.
• Support health, welfare and safety adhering to ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.

Position Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the School-Age Childcare Lead to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, tailored to the unique needs and interests of the children.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.


• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.


• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.


• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
