Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant in Waterloo, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. The role is part-time and non-exempt with hours varying between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm.

The program provides employer-paid childcare for school-age children and a supportive team environment. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent or at least 1 year of experience with children under 13, and are ready to engage with children through play, learning

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the School-Age Childcare Lead to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, tailored to the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintaining regular communication with parents and family members through the Playground App, ensuring transparency and engagement in their child's daily experiences.
• Cultivating positive adult-child interactions utilizing the CLASS method, fostering an environment where every child feels valued and supported.
• Supporting the education, health, welfare, and safety of classroom members and the entire center community by adhering to ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.
