Job summary

Spark Academy, part of Beacon Education, seeks an Instructional Coach for Early Childhood Education at our Wilmington, NC campus. The role reports to the Director and emphasizes coaching teachers, curriculum alignment, and culturally responsive practices.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or higher, NC credentials, and 2+ years in leadership coaching with diverse families. This is a full-time, on-site role with a $38,000–$46,000 salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential or its equivalent.
• North Carolina Early Childhood Credential or its equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 2+ years leadership mentoring or coaching experience with staff, preschool children, and diverse families.
• Background/fingerprint checks and health requirements per NC licensing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in leading instruction and implementing developmentally appropriate practices.
• Facilitate and coordinate meetings and trainings.
• Collaborate with staff to collect and apply information aligned with the action plan and staff goals.
• Use coaching strategies to improve teaching practices and curriculum use.
• Develop coaching agreements with staff to define scope and expectations.
