Job summary

This role requires a CDA or Associate degree or higher, plus Educational Aide Assessment Training. The candidate should communicate well, work with children, and support students one-on-one or in small groups while helping maintain a neat classroom.

Qualifications

• CDA or Assoc Degree or higher required.
• Educational Aide Assessment Training.
• Ability to work well with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Some experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified teachers, administration and office staff in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment and instructional materials. Plan, organize and make workroom supplies, paper goods, and materials readily available to staff.
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small group.
• Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom.
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
