Base pay range

$12.00/hr - $17.00/hr

Summary

The Infant Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must communicate effectively with children and adults, guide teacher assistants, and address parental concerns.

Duties
  1. Coordinate and implement educational curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  2. Lead by example; encourage team success through modeling and coaching.
  3. Plan age-appropriate activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  4. Communicate regularly with parents through discussions, reports, and conferences.
  5. Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  6. Maintain a healthy classroom environment, including hygiene, safety, and security standards.
  7. Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and standards.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  9. Engage in ongoing professional development for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
  2. Strong communication skills and basic computer skills.
  3. High energy and ability to work well with staff, children, and parents, fostering teamwork.
  4. Understanding of child development.
  5. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  6. Must pass a background check and health screening.
  7. Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 30 credits in ECE.
  8. Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, kneeling, and bending.
  9. Visual abilities including seeing up close, color vision, and depth perception.
  10. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
