Job summary

ECE Substitutes, Inc. is seeking dependable early childhood educators to join our Wilmington-area substitute pool. This flexible, part-time role involves childcare and preschool programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

You can select assignments that fit your availability and gain experience across classrooms and age groups. Qualifying candidates will be at least 18, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, have relevant experience with young children, and meet Delaware early childhood

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage when regular staff are absent or additional support is needed.
• Supervise and engage young children in a safe, positive environment.
• Follow established classroom routines and lesson plans.
• Support play, art, music, stories, meals, outdoor activities, rest periods, and transitions.
• Assist with routine care as appropriate to the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, directors, and program staff.
• Arrive on time and reliably complete accepted assignments.

ECE Substitutes, Inc. is hiring dependable early childhood educators to join our Wilmington-area substitute pool.

This is flexible, part-time work in childcare and preschool programs serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.

What You'll Do

• Provide classroom coverage when regular staff are absent or additional support is needed

What We're Looking For

Applicants should:

• Be at least 18 years old

• Be dependable and professional

Experience as a preschool teacher, assistant teacher, childcare teacher, daycare teacher, classroom floater, substitute teacher, infant/toddler teacher, Head Start educator, or preschool aide is especially helpful.

Flexible Scheduling

Available assignments are posted to qualified educators in the ECE pool.

Some educators work occasionally. Others choose to work several days each week.

You decide which available assignments fit your schedule and qualifications.

ECE Service Rewards

Active educators can earn:

• $50 for every 100 hours worked
• Additional $100 bonus at 500 cumulative hours
• Additional $200 bonus at 1,000 cumulative hours
• $100 referral bonus when an eligible referred educator completes 100 service hours
