ECE Substitutes, Inc. is seeking dependable early childhood educators to join our Wilmington-area substitute pool. This flexible, part-time position covers infants to preschool ages across multiple programs. Earn bonuses as you work and enjoy varied classroom experiences.

Applicants should meet Delaware assistant teacher qualification requirements, have a high school diploma or ECE credits, and possess at least 1 year of relevant experience. Transportation to assignments is required.

• Experience as a preschool/childcare teacher or substitute is helpful.
• CDA or TECE training are encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Provide classroom coverage when staff are absent or extra support is needed.
• Supervise and engage infants to preschool-age children in a safe environment.
• Follow established routines and lesson plans.
• Support play, art, music, stories, meals, outdoor activities, rest periods, and transitions.
• Assist with routine care as appropriate to the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, directors, and program staff.
• Arrive on time and reliably complete assignments.

This is flexible, part-time work in childcare and preschool programs serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Applicants should:

• Be at least 18 years old,


• Have a high school diploma, GED, or credits from an Early Childhood program,


• Have at least 1 year experience working with young children,


• Be able to meet applicable Delaware assistant teacher qualification requirements,


• Early Childhood courses, CDA, AA, or degree in any subject (preferred),


• Complete required background screening and credential verification,


• Have reliable transportation to Wilmington-area assignments,


• Be dependable and professional

Experience as a preschool teacher, assistant teacher, childcare teacher, daycare teacher, classroom floater, substitute teacher, infant/toddler teacher, Head Start educator, or preschool aide is especially helpful.

Applicants with a CDA, Delaware early childhood credentials, TECE training, or qualifying ECE coursework are encouraged to apply.

Flexible Scheduling

Available assignments are posted to qualified educators in the ECE pool.

Some educators work occasionally. Others choose to work several days each week.

You decide which available assignments fit your schedule and qualifications.

ECE Service Rewards

Active educators can earn:

• $50 for every 100 hours worked


• Additional $100 bonus at 500 cumulative hours


• Additional $200 bonus at 1,000 cumulative hours


• $100 referral bonus when an eligible referred educator completes 100 service hours
