Job Description
Job Purpose:
To provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment in which children can grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.

Provide Instruction:
- Assist with curriculum implementation in accordance with ECM's mission, purpose, and philosophy, supporting the lead teacher under supervision of the director
- Collaborate with co-teacher
- Maintain current assessments on children in the classroom
- Communicate with families about children’s progress
- Follow lead teacher’s substitute plans when absent
- Adhere to policies adopted by the board and Staff Handbook
- Attend staff meetings and ECM functions
- Participate in professional development
- Handle crisis situations with good judgment and use supervision constructively
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Center hours are 6:30 am - 5:30 pm, scheduled hours may vary.
Position Requirements:
- Certification in First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain
- Meet Wisconsin state education criteria for lead teachers (per DCF 251)
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting
Preferred Qualities:
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
- State Licensed Teacher Certification
- Registry Level of 6 or higher
