Job summary

Hilltop Children’s Center is hiring dedicated early childhood educators. We are seeking warm, dependable, professional teachers who enjoy working with young children and want to contribute to a high-quality early learning environment.

Experience is welcome but not required; maturity, reliability, kindness, willingness to learn, and genuine respect for children matter most. This is not a babysitting position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work hours between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, Mon–Fri.
• Warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to meet needs of diverse children and families.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise children at all times and ensure safety.
• Prepare and organize curriculum plans and classroom activities.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s needs and interests.
• Support center time, art, crafts, music, movement, and hands-on learning.
• Follow daily schedule including meals, rest time, and outdoor play.
• Assist with toilet training and diaper changes when needed.
• Use positive guidance and Conscious Discipline strategies.
• Create a warm, playful, respectful classroom environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, age-appropriate classroom.
• Attend staff meetings and required training.
