Job Title: Early Childhood Educator/Service Coordinator
Sign-On Bonus-$1500.00
Position Description
Coordination and provision of Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers including: working with children and families at home and in community settings; coordination of services identified in the service plan; provision and documentation of services; and participation in EIP (Early Intervention Program) team meetings and training sessions. The service coordinator participates in multidisciplinary eligibility assessments for children, age birth-to-three, conducts assessments of developmental functioning, participates in the development of individual service plans for the child and family, and coordinates the child's transition to the local education agency at age three.
Education, Experience And Special Skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program and certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education as an Early Childhood teacher or Special Education Teacher, or certification or licensure in a relevant field, e.g. occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, nursing, etc.
Able to provide services that are billable to insurance companies and Medicaid for services provided at the level of a “Qualified Professional” as defined in the Rhode Island EI regulations.
Experience working with young children with behavior disorders, autism or other developmental disabilities preferred. We welcome candidates with early childhood or home visiting experience.
Knowledge of behavioral procedures and experience in developing and implementing programs designed to ameliorate identified behavior challenges.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
