Position: Early Childhood Educator I – Full-time

• Must have good knowledge of principles and practices of early childhood education and development.
• Candidate should hold a current CDA or
• Completion of 12 ECE credits is required within the first year of employment.
• Associates degree in education, early childhood development, or related field with 3 years of experience; or, any combination of education and/or experience required.
• AMS Montessori Certification or completion of an accredited Montessori training program preferred. Candidates who have completed AMS training but need the practicum experience will be considered.
• Successful completion of the Town of Windsor’s pre-employment background and drug screen – including testing for marijuana.

Job Details

The position involves assisting with planning and implementing a Toddler Program for children ages 24 to 36 months, maintaining a child-centered classroom, monitoring supplies, observing and documenting children's activities and milestones, acting as the lead during the teacher's absence, and participating in staff meetings and training.

Minimum Requirements

• Knowledge of early childhood principles and practices.
• Current CDA or equivalent.
• 12 ECE credits within the first year.
• Associates degree with 3 years experience or equivalent.
• Preferred: AMS Montessori Certification or similar training.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Compensation and Application

Starting salary: $17.00-$19.00/hour, with full-time hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, and retirement plans.
