Job summary

Zen Educate Inc. is hiring multiple substitute preschool teachers for the 2026–2027 school year across the Bay Area, including South SF, Oakland, San Mateo, the East Bay, and other nearby communities.

Roles include mid-term substitutes in classrooms Monday–Friday and daily substitutes with flexible centre options. You'll join a supportive team, lead routines for ages 2–5, and collaborate with staff to follow curriculum.

Qualifications

• At least 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education/CHDV, or a Child Development Permit.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting.
• Reliable, professional and passionate about early learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom routines and activities for children ages 2–5.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and academic growth.

We’re Hiring Now for the 2026–2027 school year! We’re hiring multiple substitute preschool teachers to support school districts and private preschool centres. The roles vary from mid-term substitute placements, with you working directly in a classroom Monday through Friday, supporting students and staff on a consistent, daily basis. We also have availability for our daily substitute program, where you can choose which centres / hours work best for you!

Salary

Pay: $27 - $31 per hour

Schedule: Flexibility of work, Monday through Friday
