Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health invites qualified applicants to join our pediatric education team. The Teacher Associate I assists in maintaining a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment and supports curriculum implementation with a focus on active engagement and positive relationships with children and families.

Required: High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year in child care or related field (advanced degree accepted in lieu).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year experience in child care or related field; advanced degree acceptable in lieu.
• Ability to foster children's appetite for learning.
• Creative, resourceful with strong planning and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; knowledge of classroom activities.
• Genuine interest in children and respect for individuality.
• Ability to build positive relationships with families and professionals.
• Must maintain Pediatric First Aid/CPR AED certifications and active NJCCIS registry within 30 days of hire.
• Child Development Associate Certification (CDA)/ CCP in early childhood or related field (or pursuing) and two+ years of experience in early childhood; or pursuing an Associate Degree in early childhood or related field.
